MEDALLION HUNT RULES
A Neewollah Treasure Hunt Medallion is hidden on public land in Independence, Kansas. Searchers must not deface public property or otherwise violate laws. For example, Riverside Park is closed by ordinance from midnight to 6:00 a.m. No disassembly will be required to find the medallion including irrigation heads, light fixtures or park equipment. The Neewollah Board reserves the right to discontinue the hunt at any time if public or private property is destroyed.
Anyone is eligible to join the hunt for the Neewollah Treasure Medallion, except members of the Neewollah Board or the Treasure Hunt Committee, including members of their immediate households.
No purchase is necessary to win. In order to qualify for the entire $500 finder's prize, participants must possess a Current Neewollah Button. Buttons may be purchased at Neewollah Headquarters, and at various other merchant locations. If the finder does not possess a Current Neewollah button, the finder will receive $250 and Neewollah, Inc. will keep the remaining $250. Participants should wear their buttons while searching and when claiming the finder's prize.
Shortly after it is announced, it will be posted on the Neewollah website. Sunday and Monday at 3:00PM the clue will be posted on Independence Daily Reporter's Facebook page as well as the Neewollah website. Tuesday-Saturday at 3:00PM clues will be posted in the Independence Daily Reporter and the Neewollah website.
Clues (current and previous) will be provided each day at Neewollah Headquarters, in the Independence Daily Reporter and on the Neewollah Web Site.
The finder shall as soon as possible, report to Neewollah Headquarters to claim the award. The finder will receive a check in the amount of the prize from Neewollah, Inc. within five days following presentation and verification of the Medallion. Any tax due as a result of winning the prize is the responsibility of the winner.
If the Medallion is not presented to a Treasure Hunt Committee Member or Neewollah Headquarters by midnight, Friday November 1, 2024, the Neewollah Board reserves the right to terminate the hunt.
The decisions of the Neewollah Board and the Treasure Hunt Committee are final. Neewollah, Inc. assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries sustained by participants. Participants are urged to use reasonable safety precautions, particularly around steep inclines, sharp objects, electrical wires, etc. Good sportsmanship, and all applicable rules, laws and regulations must be followed.
